UNIVERSITY: BILL & COO PHOTO SHOOT

I've been moaning about my uni' work for what seems like months now + now with my deadlines a mere week away, the stressful end is almost in sight! For this project we was put into companies + had to create a sub brand for handbag and accessory designer Ally Capellino. After a few heated discussions + temper tantrums our group of six became two, (too many cooks spoil the broth and all that!ha..) with just my friend Cinzia + I left, 'Bill & Coo' was created! Friday we had a day out in Roath Park botanical greenhouse to shoot some photographs for our lookbook. My outfit is the one on the right, it's kind of half finished here but thanks to a few pins you'd never tell!ha.. Thanks to our gorgeous models and make up + hair team even this photograph taken on my 'going out camera' came out looking amazing! Can't wait to see what the photographer got EEK!

WANT: CREAM + POWDER BLUE

spot ankle grazers - £38 TOPSHOP, bobbi brown creamy concealer kit - £21.15 JOHN LEWIS, beige caged wedges - £50 RIVER ISLAND, cutout shoulder blouse - £36 TOPSHOP, messenger bag with edging - £19.99 ZARA.

I've had my student loan for a whole week now + haven't blown any of it yet, WHAT IS GOING ON?! I'm still kinda of in-between styles at the moment so my wants are a little random but loving the more tailored look this week! I really don't know why but I'm in love with these powder blue spotty trousers. I think they'll look amazing with this cutout shoulder top, a metal collar + bit of a tan. The fact that the top is almost as much as the trousers is a little off putting but I'm sure there's duplicates out there! Weirdly love the cream colour of the wedges too; I expect I'd wear them a few times + they'd be ruined but want them so bad! I seen the Zara bag on Lily's (llymlrs.com) giveaway + have literally fallen in love with it! Still can't believe it's only £20! Very tempted to place an online order just incase I can't get it instore but the chances of me only having this one bag in my basket come checkout is very slim! Finally the Bobbi Brown concealer kit; I'm quite concious of my dark circles + have been dying to give a high end concealer a try. It's currently on offer for a couple of quid cheaper at John Lewis so I think it's finally time to take the plunge! Any concealer experts out there recommend this product?

Just like to say hiya to my new followers + give a quick apology for my lack of posting this month. I have two weeks left before I finish my second year in university which means two weeks until deadline day DADADUMMM! I have hell of a lot of work to do + absolutely no motivation to do it, so the next couple of weeks are going to be a right laugh!! I am trying to squeeze in time for blogging but as I haven't really been shopping or doing anything of note it's hard to try + keep things fresh on here, boo): I think make over for both myself + my blog is needed once this stressful time has passed but until then please bare with me, diolch yn fawr pawb!

LUSH ANGELS ON BARE SKIN CLEANSER

Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser - £5.95/100g

Now if you are a regular reader of my blog you'd know that I'm quite a recent Lush fanatic. After buying my first bath ballistic around Christmas time I've become slightly obsessed + basically want to try everythiiing! Not just because everything smells delicious or looks amazing, but because the majority of their product actually do my skins wonders! Well... That was my general opinion until I tried this cleanser. I've not really done a negative review before but just had to add my my opinion to the pot about this product.

My friend gifted me this product after their skin broke out like crazy after using this for a couple of weeks. Me thinking that I had the right type of skin for Lush said I'd give it a try as I was already using the Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask + the Ultrabland Cleanser with great results! Boy do I wish I hadn't bothered!! The website is filled with positive reviews so I don't know if this was an 'off' product or just not suited to my skin but wow, I had never seen my skin in such bad condition. It's supposed to even skin tone, reduce redness + just over all improve the appearance of your skin but it did the total opposite for me): I had serious break outs that cleared up after just two days of not using this, so disappointing.

I've now thrown away this cleanser (but kept the pot to save up for a face mask!) and don't think I'll ever repurchase! Have you guys tried this or had any trouble with any of the Lush range?

DIY: OMBRÉ HAIR

As I mentioned briefly in my Sunday Post, I've finally Ombréd my hair! It's only taken me, what? Two years?!ha.. I watched a ton of Youtube tutorials before hand but honestly it's so simple I don't know why I was so scared! I'm pretty pleased with the outcome especially seeing as my hair isn't dry or dead or snapping from the bleach like I thought it would be, woo! I know this is a popular post so not to disappoint I thought I'd talk through how I went about colouring my hair + what I used to do it. Also this style isn't just for people with waist long hair so don't be afraid if you have shorter/medium style like me!

HAIR HISTORY

A bit of background on my hair before I start; I've had blonde highlights done by a hairdresser for years but around September last year I started to box dye my hair myself to tone down the blonde + give my hair chance to grow. I naturally have very dark hair so the upkeep of highlights was seriously damaging my locks! I've been using the Nice N Easy Permanent Colour Blend Foam in number 7 Dark Blonde to colour my hair so the upper/darker half of my would be this colour. Would totally recommend anyone to the foam dyes as it's so easy to apply yourself.

Everything in this list isn't essential but it's what I've used so didn't want to leave anything out! As you can see I took full advantage of the Boots 3 for 2 offer so now is the perfect time to take the plunge!

Jerome Russell B Blonde Hair Lightener Kit; £5.61 Boots - This little kit is perfect for Ombré-ing! It's essentially a bleaching kit so I'd be a bit weary if your hair is already dry/damaged but it didn't damage my hair one bit! I basically used the same technique as everyone else; I separated my hair in half, one over each shoulder + start applying the bleach to the ends of my hair, leaving for a little bit then adding a bit more further up until I was happy with the length of the Ombré. I didn't want the straight-line-look so used the little applicator brush to sort of messily streak it up my hair. I had my sister check over my hair before I finished + found that the back was a bit lower so she evened it out, always good to have a second pair of eyes! In total I had the bleach on my hair for around a hour before I washed it off. I always shampoo twice + condition once after dying to make sure all the chemicals are washed out properly.

Sun-In Spray in Lightener; £5.77 Boots - I've only used this twice since dying my hair but it's a great product to lighten your hair further without using another colour. This also contains peroxide so again be careful not to overuse! You simply spray the product onto clean, wet hair, blow-dry then wash out! Easy peasy! It reacts to the heat when blow drying so you have got to be careful where you apply it to. I think I have this product to thank for the natural blend of my Ombré, think I'm going to do a separate post for this little gem as I think it's pretty unknown!

Pro:Voke Silver Shampoo; £2.29 Lloyds Pharmacy - Silver shampoo, another great product to help get your Ombré that little more blonde! You can find this in most local chemists + it's super cheap! I felt quite uneasy massaging this bright purple liquid into my freshly dyed hair but it's brilliant! It removes rusty, yellow tones + helps you get that platinum blonde whilst improving the condition of your hair, what more could you ask for?!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Conditioner - £4.99 + Aussie Heat Protection + Leave In Spray; £3.99 both Superdrug - I am such an Aussie fan + swear that these products have helped keep my hair in good condition. Love, love, love the 3 minute conditioners + use them most days. The Reconstructor one is by far my favourite + has helped keep my hair silky smooth! The leave in spray is again another one I can't live without, I squirt this into my hair after washing which helps my brush glide through it with minimum damage!

Tangle Teaser; £10.99 Boots - If you don't own one of these by now, GO BUY ONE! I swear by this brush + sure it's the reason why my hair is in half decent condition! I bought one as a Christmas present for my sister + she admitted it to helping her hair grow too, so much love for Tangle Teaser!!

Wow this post has turned out pretty long! At least I don't think I've missed anything out!ha.. I know I'm late on the band wagon but hope this helps you out if you have decided to go Ombré!

WANT: CASUAL WARDROBE

Stripe Print T-Shirt - River Island £12; Dip Dyed Hot Pants - Topshop £34; Stud Dip Dye Oversized Sweat - Topshop £46;  Vans Authentic Classics - ASOS £45, Nails in Razzmatazz, Daydream + Pool Party - Topshop £6 each.

Lately I've found myself in a pretty sticky style rut. I'm hoping that by shaking up my wardrobe a little bit I'll start feeling a little more comfortable in my attire and more importantly more spring like! I want more clothes that I can just throw on + mix 'n' match with each other. Also I think I need a serious injection of colour so these pieces will definitely cheer up my current wardrobe! I think I just need a clear out as I don't really wear half of my clothes at the moment!

I am in LOVE with the Topshop jumper but refuse to pay nearly £50 for something I'm pretty sure I can recreate myself, I'm already searching through eBay so watch this space! The River Island t-shirt is the simple style garment that I think I'm craving; easily dressed up by tucking into high waisted jeans and worn with a blazer or completely casual worn with Vans and an American Apparel style hoody! The latter style is sooo not me but I think my everyday style needs relaxing a bit. My look is totally mismatched at the moment, spring is messing with my head + style, wahh!!

SUNDAY POST #011

Can't beat a Nando's; Urban Outfitters treats; Sale buys from UO; Drake tickets; Ma main man Drizzy rocking Cardiff; TGI cocktails; Cheeky online purchases; Chopstix lunch box; Felt a little brave; Rose Jam Bubbleroon; Finally repurchased Cleanse & Polish; Ombred my hair; .. and my extensions; New 'do!

Been a little slack on the blogging front over the past couple of weeks. With the end of my second year in uni' looming, work load tripling + bank balance dwindling, it's safe to say I haven't been feeling very chipper lately! I put myself on a bit of a spending ban this past month which had left me feeling totally ~unfashionable~, kinda out of the loop + a little drab in whatever I wore. I felt a little like I lost my own sense of style + was hating on every single item of clothing that I owned. All in all I felt like I needed a make over. So I bit the bullet, reached for the bleach + finally got the balls to ombre my hair! I'm still getting used to seeing the blonde ends when I look in the mirror but I am pleased with it + it has given me that little bit of confidence that I'm not a walking fashion disaster! I don't want to be feeling that rubbish anytime soon so vowing to keep my eye on the ball from now on!

Apart from my mid-season breakdown I've had quite an enjoyable couple of weeks. I saw Drake in concert last Friday which was completely insane!! The atmosphere was crazy + he just completely smashed it! The boyfriend + I went and had some food and cocktails beforehand which I think I was in desperate need of + enjoyed way more than I thought (no offence Dave!). I'm kind of tiring from the same old thing that seems to happen on a night out; I still enjoy myself but think I need a bit of a break + try something different, cocktails down the Bay sounds way more appealing than messy, drama filled night out right now! Man I sound old!!

This Tuesday was also my boyfriends 21st birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID!! I kinda cheated + scheduled this post as right now I'm in a caravan in Weston probably wrapped up in 2176193 jumpers + having an adventure filled Easter Sunday of mini golf + Zorbing (lord help!!)! Anyway this post is already too long so I shall wrap it up! I feel like I'm slowly rediscovering my mojo so posting should hopefully resume as normal! Hope you all are having a lovely Easter!!
