After being a drug store girl for many years I am ready to introduce some more expensive make up to my collection. I have never bought make-up from any of the brands listed above + I think it's about time for change! I am hoping to treat myself to one of these products per pay day which I think is a sensible way that won't break the bank. Being pay day this coming Friday I have been debating which will be this months treat! As the Diet Coke + Benefit offer (post here) is still on I think I am going to take advantage + buy my first Benefit product. I've had my heart set on the Erase Paste for a while but after seeing so many 'Favourites of 2011' post/vlogs mention the Collection 2000 concealer (which I've used for years) I'm wondering whether splashing out will make that much difference to the one I already use? Maybe a more glamorous product will be better for my first splurge? Come on girlies help me out! What is your favourite make up product to treat yourself to?

WANT: DIET COKE + BENEFIT GET GLAM

January is such an awkward month in my eyes! I'm still feeling the pinch from Christmas yet have resolutions to get myself looking on top form which of course equals spending money! I was flicking through my More magazine yesterday + this little offer caught my eye so couldn't help but to share it with you guys! Diet coke have partnered up with benefit to release these limited edition 'Get Glam' packs..

Each pack comes a promotional code which allows you to redeem £5 when you spend £20 online with benefit! I am yet to purchase anything from benefit but being a total Diet Coke addict this offer is certainly tempting me! Each can is inspired by a Spring make up trend; the romantic, the fashionista + the rock chick, love it! I had to have a cheeky look on their website to see what I could spend my money on + lots of things caught my eye..

The prices on these products do put me off quite a bit but surely all the rave reviews justify the price tags? I have quite bad dark circle so really tempted by the Erase Paste/Confessions of a Concealaholic Set! I have only heard good things about the powders above too but so hard to decide between them! What are your favourite products + what would you guys recommend? Will you be taking advantage of this little offer? Let me know(:

look beauty loud lips; baby doll

Look Beauty Loud Lips in Baby Doll

Whilst shopping in Cardiff the other weekend I had a little make up splurge in Superdrug + this Look Beauty lipstick was one of the things I picked up. I know there's a lot of Look Beauty reviews going around after the event but this was bought out of my own pennies(: I was looking for a pink to wear out with the girls that night + picked up this shade. The Ashley Isham print packaging caught my eye which I thought was very ~pretty~! I didn't like the lipstick packaging itself at first, I thought it was too chunky + cumbersome but I it is growing on me. I do like the magnetic closure but am slightly afraid that it will detach + I'll have a handbag covered in baby pink sludge (no accidents as of yet, touch wood!)!

The lipstick itself, I have no complaints; it's moisturising, easily buildable + the perfect baby pink! My new favourite lipstick that I've worn nearly every day + which you can kind of see in this post and probably many more to come! Would definitely recommend + think it's worth the £7 price tag! Gonna try to get my hands on another shade the next time I go to Cardiff shopping! Which is your favourite colour from the collection?

MAKE UP: 17 MIRROR SHINE ON LIPSTICK

I picked up this lipstick when I popped into Boots the other weekend, I was looking for a pink/peach shade that I could wear everyday. Beehive is definitely that! It's a creamy, glossy, sheer balm like lipstick which is moisturising + perfect for everyday wear. It doesn't really last that long before you have to reapply, no more than a couple of hours but as it feels quite moisturising so I don't really mind!

Not too keen on the packaging in all fairness. The blue, mirrored tubes are a little tacky in my opinion, although it does make it easier to find when searching in your handbag/make up bag which I normally am! If you're looking for a opaque lipstick this probably isn't for you but at the small price of £4.59 I think I'll probably re-buy as it's natural looking + easy to wear. These lipsticks are on 3 for 2 offer in Boots at the moment, which gives you a perfect opportunity to give them a go or maybe try a new shade! I'm tempted to try Belle + Nudist Peach. Becoming a little addicted to lipsticks, not good on the bank balance, oops! Have you guys tried any other lipsticks from this collection?
NB - It's super hard to take a decent picture of lipstick! Don't know how these beauty bloggers do it!ha.

MAKE UP: KATE MOSS LIPSTICK

I'm usually a nude lippy girl but after seeing this in Superdrug the other day I couldn't resist the temptation. I bought this gorgeous shade which is a coral red. I have bought red lipsticks in the past but have never really been impressed as the colour seems to look too dark against my skin. With the coral tint, this colour is perfect!

The packaging is sleek, matt black & has Kate's signature on the lid. It feels quite moisturising & creamy and not at all drying on my lips. For the £5.49 price tag the colour is quite pigmented & contains "exclusive black diamond pigment complex" which claims to "reflex light like never before". It has a slight fruity taste but nothing too over powering.

As my lips are quite dry I prepped them a few days before by exfoliating them with my Lush Lip Scrub & layering on the Vaseline. Nothing worse than dry, cracked lips! Before applying the lipstick I used a Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner to outline & emphasise the shape of my lips. Then finally applied! Definitely will be rouging up my lips this weekend again, I think I have been converted!

MAKE UP BUYS JULY...

Whilst shopping Friday I had good intentions of finally investing in a MAC foundation (after I've been banging on about it for what feels like an eternity!). However before going to the MAC store I stopped into trusty Superdrug. Bad decision! The bargain hunter in me just couldn't justify paying £23 for foundation alone when I got all the items pictured above for £25! Maybelline had a 3 for 2 offer on so I picked up foundation in my everyday shade (Fawn 040) + my tantastic weekend shade (Sun Beige 048) resulting in a free lipstick (I chose Luminous Beige, a nude-ish colour). I've been after a coral blusher for a while & the one that caught my eye was the MeMeMe Blush Me! box in Coral. It's probably the most I've spent on a blusher at £8.50 but I'm really happy with the result so far! I'm now hoping to get my hands on an orange toned lipstick to compliment my new blush! Whilst at the MeMeMe concession I noticed that the face illuminator was on offer so picked up the Beat the Blues in Sunbeam.

I can see the difference in my make-up application since using the MAC 187 brush so not ignoring the fact that there is quality that comes along with the price tag. I can honestly see myself eventually caving in and buying MAC; but at the moment while I'm working part-time & have no student loan coming in I think I'll be sticking to my Maybelline! What about you; make up snob or offer hunter?...
