HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Ears - Fancy dress store, Neck tie - Primark, Top - River Island, Trousers - H&M

Bit of a quiet halloween this year compared to previous standards. My halloweens are usually less about the spook factor & more about the crazy nights out! I'm meant to be getting ready for a night out in Cardiff as I type but feeling a little under the weather & have decided not to go): Wish I was feeling up to it but don't want to get all dressed up & spend a fortune to not enjoy myself. Have to make up for it by having twice as many nights out next year!

I did go to a fancy dress gig at a local pub on Saturday which was a really good night. The band were amazing! A local band who covered songs by a wide range of bands along the lines of The Stereophonics, Beach Boys, Feeder, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, etc. I am a serious lover of live music & a secret rocker at heart! I used my simple idea & dressed as a cat which was super easy and I spent a grand total of £5 which I'm more than happy with! Yet again I didn't take hardly any photo's let alone any decent ones so only the one phone standard pic' to share with you guys! Must take more photo's! Hope you guys have had a fun halloween!

WE'RE FLYING RECKLESS TONIGHT...

Yet again empty promises of the outfit post, sorry! I always give myself plenty of time to get ready yet I always end up rushing! Any thing that could of gone wrong in preparation for the night went wrong; tan, alcohol, dress, hair, make up, you name it I had trouble with it! It didn't stop me from having the usual crazy & messy night though! I only really go out once a fortnight so a lot of steam is released when we hit the big smoke! Love my friends!

I'm in yet another rut with my hair; after looking at Saturday night photo's I think it's time my trusty extensions were laid to rest! I love having long hair on nights out but I think a shorter, volumised look is overdue; I'm literally in love with Morven's new hair from Cats and Rocking Chairs, hair crush! I mentioned about maybe going darker a few weeks ago but delaying this until I return from my holidays as the sun & sea will just return it back to its blonde state.

I've spend the past two days on my sofa feeling sorry for myself as my crazy dance moves & drunken antics have resulted in a back injury! It hurts so much but that'll teach me aye! Going to continue with my DIY's this week & hope to have one to share with you tomorrow, hope you've all had a good weekend too...

IT'S A BLACKED OUT BLUR BUT I'M PRETTY SURE IT RULED...

So as I mentioned in my previous post, last night me & my friends went to Cardiff for the Monday student night. £1 Sambuca shots & 2 for 1 fishbowls resulted in a very cheap night! As you can see from the photo's above I ended up wearing my River Island orange denim shorts with a bird print top which I picked up in Primark for just £6! It's kind of casual but I love the way the colours go together! My hair looks half decent in these pic's but I'm completely fed up with it. I haven't had any shape cut into it for months & it just feels a little blah at the moment. Going to have to find a new style me thinks! What hair styles are you guys loving at the moment? Love to hear what you think! I'm off to catch up with some much needed sleep now, zzz...

P.S. My friend in the picture with me on the left has just started blogging if you want to check her blog out..

WHERE THEM GIRLS AT...

Top - Newlook, Shorts - Primark, Earrings - Newlook, Rings - Newlook & Topshop, Necklace - Amber Jewellery

Last night my friends & I went to Cardiff for a cheeky student night out. Cheap drink, good music & fab' company all joined together to make an amazing night out! I had a hard time deciding what to wear but glad I settled on what I wore. The shorts are the ones I picked up in Liverpool; £5 in the Primark sale, bargain! I wouldn't of normally paired them with the turquoise top but I was feeling brave & think the peacock feather necklace pulled it all together nicely. Looking at these photo's make me want to have a go at the old OOTD again. I don't know if it's because I didn't give myself enough of a chance to get the hang of them or that I just don't have the knack but I do struggle with them. My style has changed since I started my blog so maybe it would be nice to have a go at doing some outfit posts again. I woke up this morning with no hangover so going to the cinema tonight with the boyf'; it's a toss up between Bridesmaids or Pirates, suggestions?...

LIKE TOY SOLDIERS...

001. The birthday boy, me, my sister & Ryan at the pre drinks party, we have a weird friendship but we love it! I'm wearing a head wrap and top made by me. Primark aviators and Miss Selfridge shorts - 002. Me & Alice on the coach, yes we had a 52 seater into town! - 003. Nothing better than a bit of free bubbly! - 004. Me a little steams in Oceana - 005. Taking a tumble during the army toy soldier drinking game and taking the boyf' with me! - 006. Live action pose courtesy of Glam nightclub

Last night a group of camouflage clad guys and girls hit the big smoke of Cardiff to celebrate a friends 18th birthday. My sister Alice and I grew up with the birthday boy James and his brother Ryan. Our parents lived next door to each other and became best friends resulting in us growing up like brothers and sisters; from hanging out on days off school to holidaying together and now going out to town! A night of army paint, free champagne, drinking games and dance tunes has taken it's toll, resulting in me basically not leaving my bed all day plus a suspected broken toe! It was such a good night spent with friends I wouldn't normally go clubbing with. We played the legendary game where you have to pick a toy soldier from a bag and when the whistle is blown take on the pose that your soldier is doing. Sounds easy enough but once several pints of pear cider & 6 inch heels have been added it becomes a dangerously funny game (as you can see from the photo)! I am proud to say that I came home with my soldier and aviators too, shame I wasn't so protective over my monies! I only decided to go out on Wednesday and so glad that I did, was an amazing night! I need to order a pizza and snuggle in my duvet now, hopefully the side effects of the amount of alcohol I drunk would have worn off by tomorrow...

The music that we play will ease your mind...

Dress - Jane Norman
Earrings - Newlook
Bag - Newlook
Ring - Newlook
Shoes - Newlook
Nail Varnish - Models Own Blooboo

So this is what I wore to my summer ball on Friday! It was such an amazing night! Nothing like a bit of live music; we had the pleasure of having The Hoosiers, Tinchy Stryder and Chase & Status perform at our ball! Chase & Status smashed it! It was a little surreal dancing to hardcore dubstep whilst wearing a floor length gown to be fair! I'm so pleased I picked this dress now though, the first dress I bought didn't look right at all and bought this one on a last minute binge. I bought my shoes, bag and jewellery the morning of the ball (forever last minute!) hence them all being from Newlook but I think the coral and turquoise look good together. I didn't want to wear too much jewellery as I think a pair of earrings and a statement ring is more than enough so added a bit more colour with the Models Own nail varnish. I get so many compliments when I wear this colour, suppose it is a little in your face but I was going for the colour contrast so pretty pleased with it. And how 'andsome does my other half look!(; It's kinda been straight back to reality now, my hand in for my last project is this week and I have a million things to do, bad times! Hope you guys have had a good weekend. Wish I was out seems it is a bank holiday weekend, boo! But it's back to Illustrator for me, merghhh...

Pictures of last night ended up online, I'm screwed! Oh well...

Cocktails, traffic cones, whippin' hair, pokin' donuts, shufflin', karaoke, walkin' down walls, free champagne = an epic night in town!

001. DIY cocktails, our gangs speciality <3 - 002. The birthday girl's cake and some peeping strawberry cider, nom - 003. A few shots for the taxi ride into town - 004 . Getting I.D'd when I'm nearly twenty, love it! - 004 . Basically danced all night long! - 005 . Free bottle of bubbly? Don't mind if we do!

California Girls we're unforgetable...

Myself, Christina (AKA Katy Perry), Sarah & Matthew ready for our California Dreams night out!

So Saturday was my longgg awaited night out for my friend Christina's 19th Birthday. I really don't go out that often maybe one big night out a month! This seems a little crazy as this time last year I was out every weekend without fail! Getting old now!ha. I meant to post this yesterday but I was a little worse for wear especially seems I had to get into work for a team meeting at 9am after only getting home around 4 hours before! Not the funnest thing I've every done on a Sunday morning in all honesty! Anyways what do you guys think of our 'California Dreams' outfits?! I'll probably have a very stressful week ahead of me to get my uni' work back up to speed after spending a little time making these outfits but it was totally worth it! I might do another little post in a bit of photo's from the night out, I've never laughed so much, such a random funny night...
