Skeleton you are my friend but you are made of bone...

Oh my days I haven't done an outfit post in nearly a month, bad blogger! The sad fact is I'd prefer to have an extra 15 minutes in bed than take some snaps before uni'! And by the time I get home my make up is everywhere and I don't really feel like standing in front of a camera. Poor excuses I know but I'm one of those people who can easily make the smallest thing seem like a total drama! Anyways I've got a 21st birthday party to go to tomorrow and I have no idea what to wear! I ordered a few things from the River Island sale but am not totally in love with anything): Which brings me to the related image, I bought this skirt but have no idea what to wear it with?! It sits on my waist and looks nice on but I don't know what kind of top to wear with it, anyone have any ideas? Loving pleats and anything Black Swan/Ballet inspired at the moment so hoping you guys help me out here!(a)

If not I might have to buy something after work tomorrow with the money I get from the returns! I'm all tanned up so like the thought of a skirt and a cropped top but will have to see what the stores in Talbot Green have to offer! Is it quite sad that after I think about what I can wear I wonder what I can wear on my nails? Fancy experimenting with a bit of nail art but will have to see. I've said this a few times now but I will take an outfit post before I go out! I finish work at 3 but not going out until late as I'm waiting for my friend to finish work, this gives me a lot of time to take a few pictures! If I don't manage to get some I will be ashamed with myself! Hope you all have a nice Friday, it's crazy that this time last week I was ready to see Katy Perry! My friend has some amazing pic's from the concert and said I can borrow so may do a post over the weekend!

But sometimes you wanna go where everyone knows your name...

Check out the blue skies in London today! Loving this kind of weather (even though I was dressed for the cold and wet, layered up & in a leather jacket)! Usually when in London we have a long list of to-do's but today was nice and chilled. We firstly visited the Yohji Yamamoto exhibition in V&A, such a beautiful building, absolutely love it! We then made our way to Berwick Street to have a look at some fabrics before heading to Carnaby Street. We paid a visit to Liberty whilst there to drool over the McQueen and Stella McCartney before heading to Oxford Street and back to reality! We stopped in some fashion bookstores along the way, love a good book! We finished the day by heading back to the V&A to wait for the bus around the little pond in the sunshine. Looking back it was a really nice day, at the time I was tired from the 6am wake up call and boiling from the unsuspected sun! I need to go to bed and rest my walked out feets now, hope you've all enjoyed the sunshine!

Well I know it's a wonderful world, from the sky down to the sea...

This trend is entitled 'East Meets West'. The idea behind it is the blending of multiple global influences and merging the different cultures to create garments which are the 'best of both worlds'. This post will concentrate solely on the colour palette as I have a lot of information to share with you guys and don't want to cram it all into one post!

When thinking of the colour palette imagine warm sunsets, dusty deserts and cool blue oasis'. This trend translates best with print but also works well with colour blocking and block stripes. Calm, pastel block coloration is key to giving this trend the updated feel. The trends that I am sharing with are developing trends so they may not be at their peaks yet, however we have seen this trend develop from harem pants and is set to develop further for 2012. I have more information to share with you which will give this trend depth including; materials, surface, textures, styling & key pieces! This post is based closely on the trend report I received from trendstop but I have added my own images (google). I will have more freedom with the other elements, so I can add my own spin to then but I think this is a good start! I love the concept behind this trend and looking forward to seeing how the high street interpret it! Would appreciate your comments about how you feel about this kind of post as it's new one for me and would like to know if you guys like it or not. Thinking of making a 'Tuesday's Trend' feature!(:

Last Friday night...

Before Katy Perry Friday, iPhone photo' sorry!

Only a quick catch up tonight, I'm going to London Wednesday so had to swap my shift to tonight so that I could go. We're going to have a look at some materials for our new project and to visit the Yohji Yamamoto exhibition in the V&A. I can't wait, I lavv Landannn! I've only been with university so basically don't stop while I'm there, I've never been as a tourist! I've only seen the London Eye on the way to Somerset House and walked across Tower Bridge to go to the Design Museum, I'd love to go for the weekend with the boyf' or friends and see it in another light. Might have to treat myself once this uni' year is out!

Katy Perry Friday was amazing! By far the best concert I've ever been to! I started counting her costume changes but lost count after she sang 'Hot 'n Cold' where she quick changed into like 10 outfits!? Everything was so sparkly and girly, ahh! I honestly couldn't tell you which was my favourite song, could maybe whittle it down to; Peacock, E.T. & Pearl performance wise and they were all amazing vocally! I have a few video's to upload but my Kate Nash one's took forevz to upload so god knows when they'll actually make it onto the interweb! As you might be able to tell I'm still buzzing from the concert, I need tickets for when she comes back to Wales!

I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday! It was a bit of a double whammy for me as it was my boyfriends birthday as well!  It was nice to chill out, eat good food and be together. Everyone loved their presents, thanks to Groupon! I gave myself a chill out weekend due to everything that was going on but kinda regretting that already, the university work load is starting to pile back on! I'm going to try not to effect me posting on here (I don't think I post enough as it is!) even if it means me merging the two and showing you what I've been up to in uni'. Gotta go dye some fabric black now before work, have a nice evening!
